Job description

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an expanding manufacturing business who are looking for a driven Quality Engineer to join the team and play an integral role in advancing the capabilities of the quality department. As Quality Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and address non-conformances within the facility. You will ensure that components are delivered on time, to the highest standards, and at a competitive cost. Your role will also involve supporting internal audits, managing non-conformances, handling customer complaints, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, requiring strong communication and leadership skills, as well as a passion for problem-solving and delivering world-class solutions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Managing customer quality contact, including reviews and approval of sales shipments, component drawings, and customer specifications.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of Quality Assurance Procedures across all departments.
  • Overseeing customer audits, internal audits, and corrective actions to ensure effective resolution of quality issues.
  • Collaborating with Product Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve issues and reduce defects and scrap.
  • Assisting in the development of new products while ensuring customer specs and quality requirements are met.
  • Support the development and maintenance of robust quality systems to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead investigations into root causes, corrective actions, and process improvements.
  • Conduct audits and ensure the quality management system remains compliant and effective.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and resolve quality issues.
  • Oversee the education and training of inspectors on customer quality requirements.

Essential Skills and Qualifications :

  • Extensive experience in a quality engineering role within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities, with a structured approach to task completion.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in IT, with experience using relevant software tools and systems.
  • Strong interest in manufacturing and precision engineering, with a passion for continuous improvement.
