Job summary

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Clinical Psychologist Band 8a / Band 7 preceptorships available.

Our roles : We have multiple opportunities for Clinical Psychologists to join our CAMH services across the Outpatient service, Learning Disability Service and Eating Disorder Team with exciting possibilities for split-post options working across the services- strengthening and developing service links.

Part time hours / flexible working will be considered in line with service need.

This is a wonderful opportunity to bring your inspiring leadership skills to a nurturing and supportive service firmly committed to developing our offer alongside the local communities we serve. Roles are being offered at Band 8a, or Band 7 development post depending on experience.

Preceptorship roles offer the opportunity for progression to Band 8a within a supported structure; responsibilities will be adjusted accordingly and a development plan will be agreed and reviewed.

Those in the final year of their training are therefore also encouraged to apply.

Our CAMH services are committed to advancing equity of access, experience and outcome for all CYP in need of our services and have a range of robust service development initiatives / roles underway to achieve this.

We are passionate about being a research-active service and are committed to anchoring service development to principles of collaboration and co-production.

  • Working as a clinical psychologist in CAMHs will offer you a mix of opportunities for therapeutic work as well as drawing on your leadership will :
  • Support the MDT by offering consultation, supervision, in-house training and contributing to reflective practice / case discussions
  • Contribute to the development of service and therapeutic initiatives.
  • Offer specialist assessment, formulation, intervention
  • Undertake care coordination responsibilities.
  • Offer clinical supervision and host training placements for the DClinPsy
  • Contribute to teaching on the DClinPsy programme
