Our client operates four homes in Surrey and West Sussex. Situated in rural locations, their homes offer a warm, supportive atmosphere where they help young people navigate their past traumas and build a brighter future. Therapeutic Support Worker Responsibilities :

  • Creating a caring and stimulating environment tailored to the developmental needs of young people.
  • Planning and facilitating activities to promote learning and integration within the home.
  • Staying informed on legislation and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Monitoring and recording young people's progress, achievements, and important life events.
  • Collaborating with local authorities / placing authorities to provide outstanding care.
  • Fostering positive relationships with parents / carers to support young people's development.
  • Being flexible in daily tasks, including domestic responsibilities within the home.
  • Therapeutic Support Worker Requirements :

  • Valid Driving License : Due to the rural locations of our homes, a valid driving license is essential for this role.
  • Passionate and Energetic : We're seeking individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people and bring energy and enthusiasm to their work every day.
  • While not mandatory, having an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Excellent Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with young people, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Flexible and Adaptable : The ability to adapt to changing situations and work schedules, as well as being flexible in your approach to tasks and responsibilities, is crucial for success in this role.
