The company
This automotive component manufacturer based in Llanelli is looking for a number of Team Leaders within their production department due to growth and expansion. The company is part of an internationally represented group with an impressive history and progressive approach, continually adding new products and technologies.
The Role
These positions are full time and permanent roles offering a variety of shifts :
- Day shift
- 3 Shift pattern 6-2, 2-10, 10-6
- 2 shift pattern 6-2 and 2-10
It is a 37 hour week with shorter hours on a Friday. You will report into the production manager and be responsible for safely managing your team.
Duties will include :
Ensuring safety of staff through training, monitoring and resolution of follow-up actionsEnsuring quality control systems and procedures are followedDriving for OEE improvementsPlay an active role or lead in managers absence at daily meetingsEnsure daily plan is robust, risk assessed, resourced and clearly communicated to staffDrive high levels of workplace organisation to 5S standardsEnsure time and attendance systems are followedIntervene and be the secondary point of escalation for production issues that may impact on the production planDeputise for manager during absence or off day - shift hoursWork with the manager and team to execute Continuous Improvement PlansConduct layered process audits and drive timely resolution of non-conformity'sRobust planning of labourDepartmental auditsManage process / engineering changes within areaEnsure appropriate management of quality concernsRequirements
The successful applicant will have the following experience, skills and qualities :
Supervisory experience in a production environment is essentialGood understanding of management principals and systemsSolid administration and computer literacy skillsA driven person, self-motivated and willing to take responsibilityA true team leader capable of developing their teamAn experienced problem solverAble to set and maintain high standards for themselves and the teamEnjoys working in a fast-paced environmentA management qualification would be an advantage but not essentialIn Return
