Key Responsibilities
- Metal Fabrication : Craft high-quality metalwork products with thickness between 1mm to 10mm, products would consist of Plenums, Doors, Manifolds, and others to exact specifications.
- Welding & Assembly : Utilise MIG welding techniques to assemble, finish, and inspect various metal products.
- Design Reading : Interpret designs, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and precision in fabrication.
- Quality Assurance : Inspect finished products for structural soundness, quality, and adherence to design requirements.
- Equipment Maintenance : Regularly inspect and maintain workshop tools and machinery to ensure smooth operation and safety.
- Problem-Solving : Work collaboratively with designers, engineers, and fellow fabricators to troubleshoot design or fabrication challenges.
Qualifications :
Experience : 3+ years of experience in metal fabrication, preferably in an industrial / Structural setting.Skills : Proficient in MIG welding, metal forming, cutting, and finishing techniques.Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of metals, welding procedures, and fabrication tools.Attention to Detail : Ability to produce precise, high-quality work with minimal supervision.Safety Focused : Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety procedures related to fabrication and workshop environments.Preferred Qualities :
Experience with bespoke and custom metal fabrication projectsAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesPositive attitude and a keen interest in continuous learning and skills developmentPassion for traditional blacksmithing and modern fabrication techniquesKeen to keep housekeeping up to a high standardCarry out general workshop duties if required
