Job description

Clarke Energy are recruiting for an Electrical Project Grid Code Coordinator to join our growing UK & Ireland Projects department.

Job Title : Electrical Project Grid Code Coordinator

Reports to : Project Commissioning Manager

Function : Projects

Location : UK and Ireland

Job Purpose : To manage and assist with all aspects of managing the grid code compliance in terms of ION, EON, and FON with NGET and DNO connection points supporting electrical commissioning activities as projects suits.

Role and Responsibilities :

  • Be part of a project engineering team responsible for managing the installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of the electrical generation systems, LV, HV, small power, ancillary and control systems for the project and to the project timescales.
  • Gather, review, and manage all documentation required for ION, EON and FON compliance.
  • Maintain a structured folder structure of the project-specific documents.
  • Ensure that all documentation complies with the requirements of Grid Code regulations.
  • Ensure timely submission of required documentation for grid compliance stages.
  • Add Input towards the planning of commissioning activities for all aspects of the projects electrical, interfacing and communication requirements.
  • Issue, control and manage HV / LV Commissioning Procedures, permits and general documentation for limitations of access pertinent to the project as appropriate
  • Undertake panel and system modifications in line with current designs and be able to fault find within a variety of LV and HV systems.

Essential :

  • A background in electrical engineering
  • Previous Experience managing EON, and ION connection points
  • Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
  • Good IT skills – Office
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work away from home as required.
  • Knowledge and Skills :

  • Project Management
  • Good relationship building and communication skills-at all levels and across functions, internally and externally.
  • Ability to motivate, persuade and influence others.
  • A flexible approach to requirements – adapts to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Strong planning skills.
