Science Teacher - Hyde (January Start)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking for an opportunity to inspire the next generation of scientists? Teaching Personnel is thrilled to partner with a successful and well-established secondary school in Hyde to recruit a motivated and innovative Science Teacher for a full-time position starting in January.

Your Role and Responsibilities :

As a Science Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of young learners. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include :

  • Delivering High-Quality Lessons : Teach engaging and dynamic Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring the curriculum is accessible, exciting, and relevant.
  • Planning Practical Experiments : Create hands-on lab activities and experiments that bring scientific concepts to life, helping students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • GCSE Preparation : Provide tailored support to students preparing for their Science GCSEs, including mock exams, targeted interventions, and personalized feedback.
  • Student Assessment and Feedback : Regularly assess student progress, identifying strengths and areas for improvement, and provide constructive, actionable feedback to support their growth.
  • Department Collaboration : Work closely with the Science Department to design innovative teaching strategies, share best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the team.
  • Enrichment Opportunities : Encourage participation in extracurricular Science activities such as STEM clubs, science fairs, or educational trips to inspire curiosity beyond the classroom.

What We’re Looking For :

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate :

  • Qualifications and Expertise :
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

  • A degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field)
  • Experience :
  • Proven success teaching the Science curriculum at KS3 and KS4, including preparing students for GCSEs

  • Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL students
  • Skills and Attributes :
  • Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive and focused learning environment

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • A commitment to professional development and staying up-to-date with advancements in teaching and science education
