Job Title : English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor

Location : East of England, Essex, Canvey Island

Job Type : Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry : Education and Training

Salary : £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Description : Job Duties :

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an outreach setting (learners home or local setting)
  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons that cater to individual learning styles and abilities
  • Create educational materials and resources to support students' progress and development
  • Monitor and assess students' academic performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure the educational needs of students are met

Required Qualifications :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Knowledge of the Key Stage 3 curriculum for English and Maths
  • Experience :

  • At least 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring
  • Knowledge and Skills :

  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Working Conditions :

  • Part-time position with flexible hours
  • Work primarily in a learners home or local setting (library)
  • Collaboration with parents, teachers, and support staff

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
