Fullstack Javascript Developer (React, Nodejs)

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Developer to join our small, tight-knit tech team and help us change the lives of more dogs by building and maintaining innovative solutions as we rapidly scale. Role Responsibilities - Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable software using React, NodeJS, and TypeScript - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Customer Delight, troubleshoot, support, and ship new features - Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions - Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability - Implement robust security measures and data protection protocols - Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends - Mentor junior developers, fostering their growth and skill development Key Requirements - Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience - Strong proficiency in React, NodeJS, and TypeScript - Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms - Familiarity with modern frontend build pipelines and tools - Understanding of CI / CD principles and practices - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) - Higher Education (Degree, HND or HNC) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience - Must be UK-based with the right to work in the UK About You - Self-motivated and able to thrive in a start-up environment - Effective problem-solver with excellent adaptability in a fast-moving environment - Logical thinker with a keen eye for detail - Excellent communicator with experience working in collaborative teams - Professional, flexible, and well-organised - Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code - Proactive approach with strong ownership over your work - Passionate about dogs and improving their lives through technology What Success Looks Like - Autonomously delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that drive business growth - Adapting quickly to new challenges in our fast-paced environment - Collaborating effectively with our passionate tech team to innovate and improve our product - Continuously learning and applying new technologies to enhance our tech stack - Maintaining a strong focus on security in all aspects of development Benefits - 32 days paid annual leave - Competitive salary - Full-time remote working with occasional travel to the Telford area - Different Dog employee discount - Pension with NEST Different Dog values diversity and inclusion, welcoming people of different backgrounds and abilities.
