Junior Cad Technician

Junior CAD TechnicianSalary : £25 - £30k, depending on experienceLocation : SwanseaDuration : Permanent PositionA reputable, Swansea based Engineering Design Consultancy are looking to recruit a Junior CAD Technician, for their growing design office.This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated CAD Technician to gain valuable hands-on experience within the engineering environment. The ideal candidate will have Mechanical, Piping and / or Steelwork 3D CAD Modelling experience.The RoleYou will form part of a close-knit team of skilled designers, creating 3D Models & 2D detailed drawings for a variety of industries including Oil & Gas, Water & Sewage, Heavy Engineering and Process Plant. Most projects generally include a combination of bespoke process piping and associated structural steel including piping supports and access platforming etc.You will assist with visits, surveys and 3D Scanning on numerous industrial sites.Requirements

• ONC / HNC level of education as a minimum.
• 2+ years’ min. experience working with 3D AutoCAD / Plant Design Software.
• Experience of Intergraph Cadworx Plant 3D, Autocad Advanced Steel and Revit a distinct advantage.
• Experience of Autodesk Recap and utilisation of 3D Point Cloud data.
• Knowledge of Pipework and / or Structural Steel design and construction drawings.
• Knowledge and awareness of British, EN & ANSI standards (Piping & Steelwork)
