Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver tailored sessions to pupils for core subjects such as Mathematics, English and Science and ESOL.
  • Be able to adapt to each student’s personal learning styles and to bring out the best in each student.
  • Track student progress and be able to communicate to their parents.
  • Help students develop essential study habits, improve academic performance, and build confidence.
  • Create a positive and motivating environment where children feel safe to explore and ask questions drawing on trauma-informed and therapeutic techniques where possible.

Ideal Candidate :

  • Proven experience in successfully tutoring or teaching children.
  • Experience in one to one tutoring or alternative education settings is highly desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of child development and effective educational techniques.
  • Patient, compassionate and able to create engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Must be emotionally resilient and able to build rapport with young people.
  • Excellent communication skills being able to clearly explain concepts in an individualised manner.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is a plus.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
