Job description

Reboot is a search marketing agency that helps businesses of all sizes become highly visible and dominate their industry. Delivering support across SEO, PR, Content and Paid Media, we work with clients across e-commerce, finance, travel, B2B, iGaming and many more sectors - providing cutting-edge strategies and a tangible impact on business results.

Joining the quickly expanding team at Reboot offers numerous benefits and perks, including a 4-day working week with Fridays off and the opportunity to work remotely.

Key Objective

As an energetic and detail-oriented SEO Content Editor, you will thrive in high-pressure environments and have demonstrable experience in editing, proofreading and improving high-quality, ranking, and link-earning copy for clients across multiple industries and markets.

Your primary responsibilities will be to proofread and edit content, flag mistakes and errors to be fixed before being shared with the client, and look more generally at how our content can be enhanced and improved via changes to the way we use and integrate graphics, data and content into our pieces.

Your role will be pivotal in identifying and resolving content flaws, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring all outputs align with client goals and KPIs.

Core Responsibilities

  • Meticulously proofread and edit content to eliminate errors before delivery.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to team members to improve writing quality and address recurring issues.
  • Consider and suggest process improvements to reduce and remove recurring errors and enhance the quality of our work.
  • Flag any recurring content issues or mistakes with the Search director and wider Senior Leadership team.
  • Identify ways to improve content through better data integration, graphics, and innovative formats.
  • Handle client amendment requests, making edits directly to resolve issues or feeding back on required changes to the team before confirming that they have been actioned effectively.
  • Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and project requirements.
  • Putting created content through its paces to ensure it is as high quality and valuable as possible.
  • Benchmark against industry trends and competitor work to refine our content strategies.
  • Write / edit to an impeccable standard (spelling / grammar), at speed, and tailor to different audiences, ensuring the content is fit for purpose.
  • Proactively reassure managers on the status of assigned content tasks, including for Executives you oversee, so to avoid status update requests.
  • Proactively look for opportunities to develop your onsite SEO knowledge and keep your finger on the pulse when it comes to search engine changes and SEO updates.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Exceptional proofreading and editing skills with a focus on detail and speed.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and content strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and handling large datasets.
  • A proactive, results-driven attitude and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to oversee tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities.
  • What success looks like

Flawless content delivery with minimal client amendments.

Enhanced team efficiency and fewer recurring errors.

Consistently high-quality content that meets KPIs and exceeds client expectations.

Clear, actionable feedback that helps team members grow and improve.
