Job descriptionMust be able to have regular nights away from home. Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence. Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card. A current ADR licence is preferred. Be passionate about providing excellent customer service. Working to deadlines. Confident, polite and a team player. Good geographical knowledge. Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated. Salary for Class 1 Tramper is between £35,pa - £40,pa AND MORE! depending on hours worked. PLUS up to £4,pa TAX FREE night out allowance + meal allowance. Hours of work are on 4on 4off rota, start time circa 07 : 00hrs. Enhanced rates available for working weekends. Overtime available. The position of Class 1 Tramper involves :
- Collecting and delivering customers products on a curtain sided or flatbed trailer, which will include a great deal of load security using ratchet straps.
- Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
- Planning route on a day to day basis.
- Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers’ expectations.
- Attending regular training sessions.
