Job descriptionFull UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E). Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is two questionnaires based on drivers’ hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test. The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Warrington area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.
Hours : Days or nights available, various shift patterns.
Job Type : Ongoing position.
The role :
- Perform non-stop shunting of trailers within the yard to ensure efficient operations.
- Safely manoeuvre vehicles in tight and busy spaces.
- Conduct pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Coordinate with the yard and dispatch teams to maintain seamless workflow.
- Report any defects or issues promptly to the maintenance team.
- Maintain accurate records of shunting activities and vehicle movements.
- Assist with other yard duties as needed.
