Job summary
Our IT helps us manage donations safely through the entire supply chain, from donation through to manufacturing, processing and transfusion / transplantation. Were constantly seeking new ways to increase productivity and efficiency, and that means rethinking the way we use IT to deliver a better experience for donors, hospital customers, partners and staff.
Over the next few years, well be working towards a simplified set of IT services, hosted in the cloud and developed iteratively to ensure they meet our changing needs now and in the future. Your IT Services expertise will be critical to making this happen. Focusing primarily in the area of specialist infrastructure youll oversee both technical and service issues, ensuring we perform in line with business needs.
Reporting directly to the Head of Technology Services, you will gain exposure at senior levels and be expected to navigate across-Directorate teams.
The successful candidate will be based at one of the following 5 centres which are Barnsley, Cambridge, Colindale, Bristol Filton, and Liverpool, which serve as our main IT hubs. You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice.
