Are you looking for a part time role for weekday evenings (5pm-8pm)?
Would you love a rewarding role, supporting a child with spina bifida in their family home in the evenings, helping to put them to bed?
Come and join one of the UK's largest providers of complex care.
Within the Care in the Home division, we support children with complex health needs to live at home with their families.
We'd like you to join us as a Children’s Support Worker at our young clients home in Midhurst.
Meet the client :
Our client is a 17 year old boy, who lives at home with his grandparents and siblings. Our client attends school and requires support from you after school (5pm-8pm), to help him get ready for bed. Our client loves computer games, helping his grandad with cars and playing board games with his family in the evenings. On Saturday mornings you would take him to the equestrian centre to do his weekly horse-riding.
When you'll be working :
What you'll be doing :
This role is to support our young teenage client with spina bifida in his family home. This will involve helping to put him to bed in the weekday evenings, or supporting in the mornings on Saturdays. This will involve personal care, medication, moving and handling and managing clinical equipment.
No previous experience required as full training, shadow shifts and ongoing support will be provided.
Due to the rural location, you will need to be a driver to get to the clients home.
What to look forward to :
