We are working with a well-established engineering company looking to expand their team with a highly capable and motivated Switchgear Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company at the forefront of delivering high-performance environmental test systems and refrigeration technology.

What You'll Be Doing : Designing and developing switchgear systems for cutting-edge applications, integrated with refrigeration systemsProducing detailed electrical schematics, layout drawings, BOMs, and wiring diagramsSelecting components for both switchgear and refrigeration systemsConfiguring PLCs and PID controllersSupporting procurement by checking supplier quotes and sourcing alternativesWorking closely with manufacturing teams to build and test systemsAssisting with installation, commissioning, and site inspectionsProviding technical support to the Service Team for system maintenance

What We're Looking For : Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering – or equivalent proven experienceMinimum 5 years' experience in switchgear systemsAt least 3 years' experience in HVAC or refrigeration (cascade system experience a plus)Strong skills in AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar electrical design toolsHands-on experience installing and maintaining HVAC / switchgear systemsGood knowledge of relevant codes and standards (F-Gas, IEC, ASHRAE, NEC)Experience with control systems and firmware (PLCs, PIDs)
