Programme Manager – Water Infrastructure
Location : West London with hybrid working

A key role is available for a Programme Manager to lead a portfolio of critical projects within the water sector. The position is based in West London with the option to work flexibly.
You’ll be working closely with senior leadership, overseeing the full lifecycle of capital delivery programmes, from design and planning through to construction, commissioning and final handover. You’ll manage the overall performance of delivery teams, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, to spec, and within budget.
The Role
- Lead project teams including delivery leads, construction managers and site staff
- Ensure smooth transition from design into delivery, managing resourcing, planning and coordination
- Set clear programme strategies and drive performance across all workstreams
- Oversee commercial performance, forecasting and cost control across the programme
- Promote high health and safety standards on all sites and ensure compliance
- Support project teams with technical and delivery challenges, offering guidance when needed
- Build strong working relationships with partners and stakeholders
- Take ownership of client satisfaction and look for opportunities to strengthen relationships
- Monitor programme risks and maintain a focus on quality, safety and environmental responsibilities
- Ensure teams are well-trained, supported, and understand their individual responsibilities
- Carry out regular reviews and ensure that all relevant permits, plans and risk assessments are in place
- Take an active role in continuous improvement and problem-solving across the programme
What We're Looking For
Experience managing complex infrastructure programmes, ideally within utilities or constructionStrong project leadership skills, with a background in large-scale deliveryDegree-qualified in engineering, construction or a related subjectAPMP or equivalent project management certificationClear communicator, comfortable working with internal teams and external clientsSolid understanding of commercial management, cost forecasting and programme planningKnowledge of health and safety in construction settingsExperience in the water sector would be useful, but not essentialFamiliar with project planning tools such as Primavera or similarChartered or working towards chartership in a relevant disciplineInterested?
