Job description

Jackson Hogg are delighted to be working with an international manufacturing business on the appointment of a Process Engineer. The Process Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and work as part of the wider engineering team this role is involved in a wide range of projects spanning R&D, development and NPI and will support all processes involved in the manufacture of products for the power solutions division.Responsibilities

  • Day to day support of production, trouble shooting issues with manufacturing equipment in a timely manner
  • Pro-actively identify opportunities to improve yield or manufacturing efficiency and to instigate and lead continuous improvement activities
  • Identify the root cause of process or equipment issues and implement fixes that prevent recurrence
  • Plan and execute the introduction of new products or equipment in to production in accordance with the NPI or MOC procedure
  • Update / produce technical documentation such operating instructions, inspection standards and PFMEAs
  • Provide training and support to junior colleagues and production operators
  • Gain and maintain detailed knowledge of the production process and equipment and keep abreast of new technologies and business opportunities.
  • Ensure safe working practices are adopted and health and safety legislation are adhered to when implementing new products, materials processes, or equipment.
  • Support existing product lines and processes throughout the entire life cycle.Person Specification
  • Degree / HNC in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Demonstrated organisational, planning and program skills with careful attention to detail.
  • Be a good Team Player.
  • Keen to learn new skills.
  • Have a strong technical bias, with strong problem-solving abilities
