This is a large-sized manufacturing and production firm with a global footprint. Operating in the heart of Milton Keynes. They are growing year on year and seek a finance business partner to join the team.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities : Financial Analysis & Reporting :

• Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze variances between actual results and budget / forecasts, providing detailed explanations.
• Produce and present financial reports to business unit managers, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.

Business Partnering :

• Work closely with business units to understand their financial needs and challenges.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and strategies.
• Assist business units in understanding financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Support in the preparation of business cases for new projects or investments.
• Cost Control & Efficiency :
• Monitor and manage costs within assigned business units, ensuring alignment with budgets.

Financial Planning :

• Support the development of financial plans that align with business objectives.
• Assist in long-term financial planning and scenario analysis.
• Month-End & Year-End Processes :
• Assist in month-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
• Support year-end financial processes, including liaising with auditors and preparing financial statements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Business Partner should have :

• Studying toward ACCA / CIMA
• Proven experience in a similar role engaging with stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
