We have an wonderful opportunity for a Team Leader to join our supportive and friendly team at Kingly House in Hinkley, Leicestershire, our highly trained teams support up to 17 residents to develop skills and gain independence in a way that suits them. We provide personalised care to our residents, where they can work towards achievable, set goals. We work with acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation and enablement, supporting everyone to develop skills and gain independence in a way that suits them.
What you'll be working :
You will be working a total of 40 hours per week, on a rota basis working every other weekend.
What you'll be doing :
Manage the running of the shift, delegating and planning activities and responsibilities to staff as appropriate and dealing with any issues and problems as they ariseShare with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of residents in a way that respects the privacy and dignity of the individual and promotes independenceHave a commitment to equal opportunities and to promote the equality of all without reference to (among others) gender, race ethnicity, religion, sexuality, marital status, age and disabilityAdministers prescribed medication in accordance with the relevant procedures, individual care plans and risk assessments pertaining to the sameHelp in the care of the residents physical environment and in the general day to day activities of the homeCompetent in effective communication skills incorporating technical knowledge and interaction with othersKeeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights.What you'll have :
QCF / NVQ level 3 or above in Health and Social Care or Willing to work towards or having relevant work experience .A genuine interest in providing the best person centre care possibleWillingness to learn and developThe ability to communicate effectively at all levelsExperience working within the care sector / mental health would be an advantageSuccessful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBSWe also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
