Field Service Engineer (Cambridgeshire Area) at Loma Systems

Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer within the National Service Team, you will provide high-quality field-based technical expertise at customer sites across the country. Your responsibilities include installation, calibration, fault finding, training, and repairing customer equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs, on-site commissioning, servicing, and calibration of customer's inline inspection equipment according to company procedures, including on-site customer training when required.
Execute upgrades and refurbishments at customer sites.
Handle customer queries professionally and courteously on-site.
Adapt to various environments and adhere to local health and safety regulations.
Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly as per company procedures.
Work overtime and participate in on-call standby rota as required.
Continuously improve product knowledge through learning diverse products.
Provide technical support via phone and email as needed.

Requirements

Essential :

Good technical electrical / electronics skills.

Minimum BTEC / ONC / HNC or similar qualification in electromechanical / electrical engineering.

Experience in a field service role, familiar with commissioning, repairs, and servicing.

PLC programming knowledge and familiarity with PC hardware are advantages.

Good PC literacy and organizational skills.

Methodical problem-solving approach.

Full current driving license.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Flexibility to work overtime and stay overnight occasionally.
