Our Meallmore team at Kinmylies are ready to warmly welcome you as a Second Chef within their care home. Surrounded by dramatic views of the mountains and canal, Kinmylies Lodge Care Home provides a supportive and homely environment that builds residents’ confidence to live as independently as possible. The property is located in the quiet suburbs of Inverness. One of Meallmore’s smaller properties, catering towards residents recovering from mental health illnesses, Kinmylies has gained a well-founded reputation for promoting community living.

Assist the Head Chef to plan, prepare, and cook meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of our residents.Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.Ensure Food is prepared and served in a timely manner.Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless food service and resident satisfaction.Stay updated with industry trends and introduce innovative ideas to enhance the dining experience.Adhere to food budget guidelines and assist in minimising waste.Skills and Requirements :
Knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements and food allergies is desirableStrong culinary skills and creativity to prepare appetizing meals.Proficiency in food safety practicesAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesGood communication and interpersonal skillsRelevant culinary qualifications are desirableAbility to add flare and influence the menuWhat we can offer you :
