Within this position you will be responsible for the handling, care and welfare of animals within the college. Ensuring every animal under the colleges care is kept to the highest of standards and in compliance with the Health, Care and Welfare of Animals act. You will also be responsible for the supervision of students whilst in the animal department and working with the animals. This position will also include the maintenance and provision of teaching materials and resources as well as giving support and guidance to students to aid the development of industry and practical skills.
We are therefore seeking individuals with experience working within Animal care / Animal handling / Animal Keepers positions. This person will have experience working with, handling and caring for a variety of animals ensuring that every animal is cared for to the highest of standards. The ideal person will also be upbeat, motivated and inspiring, showing true passion for animals in order to educate and inspire learners during their time within the college.
