Learning Support Assistant| Secondary | South East London Role : Learning Support Assistant Start : ASAPContract : Full timeLocation : SE16, South East London Rate : £115-£120p.dInterview : Paid TrialSetting : Secondary SchoolWe are looking for a motivated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to support for secondary aged pupils who have a wide range of moderate learning and behavioural needs. All students that attend the school have a designated Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) which details their specific needs in terms of the care and support they will have access to.Ideal Candidate : Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN).Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of young learners.Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.Standard Requirement : Strong Maths and EnglishA psychology / Sociology degree or specialist SEN training is highly desirableProven ability working with SEND pupilsEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (Preferable) If you are interested in this rewarding Learning Support Assistant Informed role, please "Apply" or If you wish to enquire about other education opportunities, please contact Anelka Campbell at Remedy Education
