Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Junior Business Pricing Analyst are :

• Provide analytical support to the FBPs
• Providing a range of product level analysis to support decision making for the Category teams / key stakeholders with a structured approach
• Analysing opportunities on consolidated spends, whilst understanding and interpreting complex pricing structures.
• Develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including procurement, Category and Finance teams
• Co-ordinating and tracking of pricing, analysis, and summarising in a meaningful to ensure insight and outcomes can be gained from the information
• Understanding available data sources, how these integrate with each other and providing a means to bring them together in excel
• Creation of commercial analyses in a wide range of workstreams supporting business decision making and providing insight for both Internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to understand / model complex commercial rebate & pricing structures - summarising findings for varying audiences (Finance, Account Management, Procurement, Suppliers & Clients)
• Scenario Modelling / what if analysis, delivering dynamic / manipulable summaries to support & expedite business decision & sign off process
• Delivering initiative-taking ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decision making
• Visibility at business head offices to support operators as and when the business requires
• Understanding the business commercial model & how our procurement deals integrate with it
• Monitoring & auditing own workings / outputs for accuracy and relevance

The Successful Applicant

A successful Junior Business Pricing Analyst should have : Essential :

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• High numeric and analytical skills and diligence
• Comfortable developing and working with complex spreadsheets
• Ability to communicate oral and written information concisely and logically
• Ability to analyse, evaluate and present information concisely

Desirable :

• Good organisational skills
• Confidence to make recommendations and advise the team
