Our new worldleading centre for innovation onsite at Macquarie University in NSW will allow us to nurture trial and share new ideas and form new partnerships that will drive better outcomes for people who are deaf hard of hearing blind or have low vision. While the centre is based in Sydney NSW its impact will extend across the countryand your role from our Blackburn centrewill be essential in bringing these advancements to life.

Description

The Role

NextSense has an exciting opportunity for a Speech Pathologistto join our team at Blackburn. This is a permanent fulltime role and reports directly to the Area Manager. Youll make a difference in this role by :

• providing high quality clientcentred services that assist individuals with vision and hearing loss to achieve their goals and aspirations
• implementing best practice services for clients in clinical and educational settings
• providingevidencebased assessment intervention supports and other strategies to assist clients in achievingoutcomes
• delivering services in person via telepractice in a NextSense centre client home school or other appropriate setting
• usinga person / family centred framework when providing services
• developing delivering and evaluating Individual Support Plansand progress reports with the client their family and relevant others
