Job description

Role : Farm Veterinary Surgeon

Employment Type : Full Time

The Company : St Boniface Veterinary Clinic is a friendly independent practice in Crediton, Mid Devon. We have separate farm and small animal / equine veterinary teams, supported by dedicated admin staff, allowing vets to be completely focused on their own areas but within a diverse practice.

The core of our farm work is with progressive dairy farmers, with enough beef and sheep clients to add variety. We pride ourselves on providing excellent service tailored to the needs of our clients.

The Location : St Boniface Veterinary Clinic is based in Crediton, Mid Devon with a farm branch in Bude, North Cornwall. Serving a thriving farming community and within easy reach of the moors and coast.

Reason for role : Opportunity not to be missed! Join our team of 8 vets in an independent practice covering Mid and West Devon and North Cornwall. We have an expanding client base serviced from our facilities in Crediton and Bude and want you to be part of our team delivering excellent veterinary care.

The successful candidate will be excited by working with both progressive dairy farmers and our beef and sheep clients, able to relate to and communicate with them at their level, and interested in understanding and supporting their businesses.

CPD and individual interests are actively encouraged with 5 holders of Certs / DBR in the team already. Our vets run discussion groups for our autumn calving and all year-round dairies as well as regular farm skills courses. The practice offers advanced breeding services for cattle, including flushing / embryo transfer, MOET and IVF.

We’re looking for an experienced farm vet who is happy with all the regular aspects of farm practice to help with our expanding workload and continue to drive that expansion, but you would be involved in all areas of our farm work including dairy herd health.

Please send your applications with a CV via the Apply button. Or for a confidential chat call 07803 146200.
