This is an office based role in East Lancashire

Kenton Black Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of a business that is based in East Lancashire. With several revenue streams, and group turnover in excess of £150m, they are set for further growth and operate across sites throughout the UK. Fast paced, with a commercial and driven leadership team, they are looking for a like-minded finance professional to support the leadership team in a progressive, commercially focused role.

This is an exciting and progressive opportunity for a dynamic and commercially focused Candidate. A role to develop at pace to a leadership post, there is support available and a workplace to enable a bright and passionate accountant.

Your new role as the Senior Commercial Accountant :

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for several business units within the group.
  • Manage group stock reconciliations and intercompany stock movements.
  • Business partner across several internal departments to communicate financial results
  • Lead on the reconciliation of large data sets, including the production of commercial analysis to drive business performance across several revenue streams
  • Working with stakeholders enabling financial insight through detailed analysis, enhance operational efficiencies and excellence
  • Analysis of product margins and conducting full reviews across profit and loss statements, providing detailed commercial commentary.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assisting in the supervision and upskilling of juniors within the finance function.
  • Acting as support to the Financial Controller

    • Experience & Skills required to apply :

  • Proven experience as a Commercial / Management Accountant or in a similar role within finance or accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of month-end process in a large corporate business
  • Proficiency in managing stock in a large corporate business
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members and external stakeholders.
  • A relevant qualification in finance or accounting is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with inter company transactions
