Role : SEN Teaching Assistant

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hillingdon is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to support children with special educational needs, helping them to thrive in a nurturing and structured environment.

Role Highlights :

  • Full-time, permanent position at a supportive primary school in Hillingdon
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with SEN, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively
  • Assist in creating and adapting learning materials to meet the needs of individual students
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to promote an inclusive learning environment
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and social development in children
  • Support students with a range of needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges

Experience & Qualifications :

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2 / 3, Teaching Assistant qualification) or willingness to undertake training
  • Enhanced DBS check required
