As a Senior Payroll Specialist at BAM, you will :

  • Perform daily payroll department operations
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Understand proper taxation rules
  • Process correct calculations, including garnishments, severance, vacation, etc.
  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
  • Develop a monthly reconciliation process between payroll and general ledger
  • Assist with compensation related audit requests
  • Collaborate with accounting team to ensure accuracy of general ledger
  • Assist with documenting processes and controls for payroll

Core Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience processing multi-state payroll
  • Must have working knowledge of Local, State and Federal laws and regulations regarding payroll issues (taxes, garnishments, child support, etc.)
  • Accounting experience
  • Workday experience a plus

    With respect to NY- and CA-based applicants, the starting base pay range for this role is between $110000 and $140000 annually. The actual base pay is dependent upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, business needs and market demands. This role may also be eligible for bonus compensation and employee benefits.
