About the job ?

The Depot Administration Support is a pivotal role at the Reading Driver Depot. The role manages administration for over 200 colleagues, supporting the local Management and a Team of Drivers.

What you will be doing?

  • Managing the administration aspects of the Reading Driver Depot include :
  • Collating data from various sources, producing and compiling reports for the Depot Management Team.
  • Managing Occupational Health appointments.
  • Managing uniform and IT equipment.
  • Depot equipment ordering and building maintenance.
  • Managing relevant permits.
  • Accurately managing trackers to ensure auditable records.
  • Attending confidential meetings, taking minutes, and recording actions.
  • GDPR compliance.
  • Assisting with Performance data collation.

You will need to be :

  • Able to manage and prioritise workloads.
  • Experienced in working within an administrative role in an office environment.
  • A good communicator who can liaise with colleagues, contractors, and external visitors at all levels.
  • A problem solver with a positive outlook and a willingness to learn.
  • As a minimum to apply for this role you'll need to have :

  • Experience of using Word, Excel, and all aspects of MS Office.
  • Ability to take minutes and notes within confidential meetings.
  • Proven organisational skills.
  • Professional approach with attention to detail.
  • An ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a professional positive attitude
  • About the location?

    The role is based at Reading Railway Station.

    Working Pattern?

    This role will be required to work 35hours per week on a 2-week rota and alternate weekend working is mandatory.

    Week 1 : 10am-7pm Week 2 : 12pm-9pm

    Additional Information?

    You may be required to attend meetings within the GWR network and must be able to travel.
