We’re currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to have a key role in supporting the delivery of the annual investment programme and feed into the long-term asset plans.

The key purpose of this position is to manage all budget data relating to the client's function from strategic planning right through to tender evaluations. You will look to maximise value for money on projects whilst still achieving the required statutory regulations, standards and quality.

As a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for :

Evaluate tender and contract documents including bills of quantities on behalf of the client

Undertake cost analysis for investment project work

Perform risk, value engineering and cost control analysis

Advise on procurement strategies

Value completed works, agree and arrange payments

Monitor all valuations submitted in connection to capital projects and review with the project leaders

Our ideal candidate will have :

Strong numeracy and financial management skills

Strong IT skills particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word and cost management systems

An understanding of financial reporting, contractual terms and conditions and statutory requirements

An understanding of the construction industry including the social housing sector

A degree or equivalent recognised qualification in quantity surveying
