Skilled Deputy SENCo – Primary School in Tower Hamlets Position : Deputy SENCo Location : Tower Hamlets Contract : Full-time, Permanent Our primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for an experienced and dedicated Deputy SENCo to support our SEND provision. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with leadership experience in SEN to help shape our approach to inclusive education and ensure all students receive the support they need. Role Overview : As Deputy SENCo, you will work closely with the SENCo and senior leadership team to develop and implement strategies to support students with SEND. You will oversee the delivery of high-quality SEND provision, monitor student progress, and ensure that staff are equipped with the tools and knowledge they need to meet students' diverse needs. Key Responsibilities : Assist the SENCo in overseeing the SEND provision across the school. Lead the development and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEND. Support teachers in differentiating lessons and strategies for students with SEND. Liaise with parents, external agencies, and other professionals to provide holistic support. Monitor and track the progress of students with SEND and ensure their needs are met. What We’re Looking For : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Experience in an SEN role, ideally as a Deputy SENCo. Strong leadership and organizational skills. A passion for working with students with SEND and a commitment to inclusive education.
