We are looking for an Assistant Designer to join our Womenswear Team on a 12-month maternity cover, you’ll support the design and development of The Edit (smart softs) dresses / skirts / tops. Working closely with the Lead Designer, you’ll play a critical role in bringing fresh and innovative ideas to life, ensuring each piece aligns with our brand’s identity and exceeds our customers’ expectations.

To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

  • What you’ll do

    Your key accountabilities will include

  • Use product knowledge to source images, compile and layout Design Product Strategy (DPS) boards, identifying relevant trends.
  • Research current and emerging trends, sharing ideas with the Design team to help ensure ranges are continually evolving and market leading.
  • Create CAD’s using photoshop / illustrator to show true representation of product for range reviews and PLM tech packs.
  • Collating Trend Presentations
  • Briefing trend to global sourcing offices
  • Who you are

    Your skills and experience will include

  • Knowledge of trend interpretation, current competitive marketplace, and product design
  • Experience in briefing and specifying direct design sourced product, working with Technology / Design and Buying to create high standards of Tech Packs.
  • Multitask orientated with the ability to work to tight deadlines to the Design and Buying critical path.
  • Experience with Miro
  • PLM experience ideal but not essential
