Location : Wakefield

Salary : £37,000 - £40,000

Shift Pattern : Sunday - Wednesday / Sunday - Tuesday (19 : 00 - 07 : 00 OR 12 : 00 - 00 : 00)

About the Role

As a key member of the transport team, the Transport Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day running of our logistics operation, ensuring efficient and compliant delivery of goods across the network. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency, while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Managing transport schedules to ensure timely deliveries, adapting to operational challenges as they arise.
  • Supervising a team of drivers and transport operatives, providing leadership, guidance, and support to achieve performance targets.
  • Ensuring full compliance with all transport legislation, including tachograph regulations and driver hours.
  • Conducting regular performance reviews, training sessions, and briefings to promote development and adherence to company standards.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to ensure seamless communication and alignment across operations.
  • Monitoring KPIs and identifying areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
