Background
Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service is a partnership of 11 providers that providessupport and psychological therapies for common mental health problems to thoseaged 17 and over who are registered with a Leeds servicecomprises :

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provideleadership and effective management of all equality, diversity, inclusion, and co-productionactivity enabling improved accessibility and equality of opportunity for allstakeholders across the LMWS service.
KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBLITIES
1.To lead on, manage and annually review the servicesHealth Equity Action Plan in collaboration with the LMWS Board.
2.Within the Health Equity action plan, there will bea focus on four elements which are; Leadership, Workforce, Service Delivery andPopulation Health
3.To ensure the LMWS Board is supported to embedCo-Production principles into decision making and to effectively facilitate theengagement and involvement of the LMWS Co-Production Network.
4. To lead, motivate, develop and coachstaff within the Coproduction team and a team of Inclusion officers. .
5. To ensure the service has robustarrangements in place to capture, analyse and act on equality monitoring datato inform service improvements and employment best practice.
6. To write and present annual diversityaudit reports covering employment and service delivery.
7. To Chair and lead on working / sub / task& finish groups as directed by the LMWS Board.
8. To work closely with all Clustermanagers and their teams to ensure consistency of approach and be the point ofcontact for expert advice including the delivery of briefing sessions.
9. To draft relevant policies, proceduresand strategies as directed by the LMWS Board or line manager.
10. To draft and present contractmonitoring / performance reports to the commissioner on work related to healthinequalities, peer support and co-production.
11. To work in partnership with HR and StrategicDelivery / Operational Delivery colleagues to inform inclusive staff recruitment,retention and development strategies.
12. To deliver and facilitate learning andtraining sessions as directed by the Partnership Board, the Strategic DeliveryGroup / Operational Delivery Group.
13. To deliver induction seminars to theLMWS workforce outlining the work that the Inclusion Team deliver within LMWS.
14. To lead on specified projects / developmentwork as directed by the LMWS Board / Strategic Delivery Group and line manager.
15. To support the service to lead on andfacilitate service user consultation and involvement activities.
16. To develop links, relationships andalliances with organisations in the city representing protectedcharacteristic groups and diverse communities.
17. To represent the service on local,regional and national equality / diversity / health inequalities networks / forums.
18. To support development of protectedcharacteristics staff support and network groups through the InclusionCoordinator role
19. To keep up to date and share knowledgearound current legislative, public policy and best practice advice and guidanceon equality, diversity and inclusion matters.
MANAGING STAFF
1. To provide day to day leadership to theteam of paid staff in line with Touchstones policies. To ensure that staff carry out the key tasksexpected of them.
2. To carry out regularly supervisions andannual Touchstone employee appraisals. Monitor individual performance againstagreed targets.
3. To conduct regular Training NeedsAnalyses with all employees in the team.
4. To ensure that employees adhere toTouchstones policies and procedures.
5. To lead and participate in therecruitment, selection and induction of Touchstone employees as appropriate.
SERVICE DEVELOPMENT
1.To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of equality,diversity, inclusion and co-
production and to apply thisknowledge to the needs of the LMWS service
2.To develop and maintain a cohesive service teamthat meets the needs of the
LMWS service and its partners.
FINANCE
1.To effectively manage delegated budgets and ensureall purchasing is undertaken in accordance with Touchstones expectations.
2.To ensure that premises are well maintained andcomply with relevant legislation and regulations.
GENERAL
1. To actively promote and provide information aboutthe LMWS service and equal opportunities best practice to other Touchstoneservices and to people / agencies with an interest in the work of the To be inducted, supervised, performance monitoredand appraised in line with theorganisations performance management policies and procedures.
3. To be responsible for personal learningand development where appropriate and undertake training, both mandatory andoptional, to increase knowledge, skills and awareness.
4. To provide monitoring information andreports as part of funding and organisational requirements and for the Board ofTrustees as requested by Touchstone management.
5. To be aware of and employ the generalpractices of Touchstones health and safety policy and ensure these are adheredto at all times.
6. To operate within the values, aims,policies and practices of Touchstone at all times and to be committed to andpromote the organisations equal opportunities and anti-discriminatorypolicies.
7. To keep the Operations Director informedof serious incidents, safeguarding
issues,health & safety concerns, financial issues, service user and staff welfare
issues.
8.Tobe aware of and employ the general practices of organisational Safeguarding andHealth and Safety policies and ensure these are adhered to at all times.
9. To ensure that appropriate monitoringand evaluation systems are set up and
maintained.This includes the development of new record keeping systems, analysinginformation and compiling reports based on qualitative and quantitativemonitoring and evaluation data as required by commissioners andTouchstone.
10. To lead on the development andmaintenance of links with public and voluntary
sectorpartners.
11. To always work aspart of a team. This includes workingwith other staff,
attending team and staff meetings and developing ateamwork approach to all
aspects of the work.
12. To ensure information is dealt with inaccordance with Touchstones policies
aroundGDPR, Confidentiality, Communications, Internet, Email and
Telecommunicationsand steps are taken to ensure that confidential information is secure volunteerand service user data.
13. To ensure that Data Protection, Health& Safety, Complaints Handling and Corporate Governance requirements aremet.
14. To undertake out of hours and weekendwork as required by the service.
15. To undertake any other duties asdirected by the Operations Director, in line with the responsibilities of thispost.
