Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – £44,000 – Hammersmith

Location : Hammersmith

Salary : £44,000 + Plenty of Overtime

Hours : Continental shift pattern

Our client is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their Contract in Hammersmith. You will be overseeing Mechanical PPMs and reactive maintenance as well as other Mechanical duties. Duties :

  • As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless performance of mechanical systems across the site.
  • Conducting routine maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on mechanical systems, including HVAC, boilers, pumps, and plumbing.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, health & safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Responding to reactive maintenance requests promptly to minimize downtime in critical healthcare operations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional service delivery.
  • Requirements :

  • Qualifications : NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience : Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a healthcare or highly regulated environment.
  • Skills : Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Knowledge : Familiarity with statutory requirements such as HTM (Health Technical Memoranda) guidelines is highly desirable.
  • Attributes : Team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
