Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate NVQ Level 5 Support Worker to join a caring and supportive team near Richmond, North Yorkshire. This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with their daily activities. Key Responsibilities :

Provide person-centered support to individuals, assisting with daily activities, personal care, and promoting independence.

Encourage and support service users in developing their skills and achieving their personal goals.

Monitor and record the progress of individuals, ensuring their health, well-being, and safety at all times.

Provide emotional and social support to service users, ensuring they are engaged and empowered.

Work closely with other team members, including family members and healthcare professionals, to ensure the best outcomes for service users.

Ensure that all support is delivered in line with care plans, policies, and safeguarding guidelines.

Assist with the administration of medication as required, in accordance with procedures.

Ideal Candidate :

NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Experience working in a care or support role, ideally supporting individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, or mental health needs.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with service users and their families.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach.

An understanding of safeguarding and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable but not essential).
