Job Title - Project / Senior Quantity Surveyor role

Sector - Civil Engineering

The project - Civil Engineering project, Footpath, Kerbing, Shared use path, Drainage, Tarmac, Traffic management, Ramping etc

NEC form of contract

Based - On a site in Conwy with office visits occasionally

This is an office / site based role for one day a week

The client

My client are a medium sized civil engineering and groundworks contractor

Candidate essential skills

Must have experience working in a fast paced civil engineering / groundworks / RC frame environment

Compiled and administered NEC subcontract contracts previously

Must be able to commute to the project and be available to be based on site one day a week

Excellent oral and written communication and organisational skills.

A team player with a positive attitude, outgoing, assertive, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible.

Duties

Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks

Undertaking costs analysis

Work autonomously. With little supervision

Procurement

Agreement of the valuation of variations

Checking of sub-contractors interim and final account applications and preparation of associated payments

Payments

Cost value reconciliations

Monthly reporting

Assisting in establishing a clients requirements

Performing risk and value management and cost control

Advising on procurement strategy

Preparing and analysing costing for tenders
