Your Role as a KS1 SEN Class Teacher :

Plan and deliver engaging, multi-sensory lessons tailored to students with SEN needs , including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.

Differentiate the KS1 curriculum to ensure accessibility and individual progress for each child.

Foster a positive and structured classroom environment , promoting confidence and independence in young learners.

Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, and therapists to implement EHCPs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs) .

Use adaptive teaching techniques to meet the needs of students with diverse learning abilities.

Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to education.

Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to support continued development.

Who We’re Looking For :

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience working with students with SEN , preferably in a specialist or inclusive KS1 setting .

A creative, patient, and nurturing approach to teaching.

Strong knowledge of SEN strategies , differentiation , and early childhood education .

Excellent communication and teamwork skills .

An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
