Pre-Operative Pathway Navigator

Job Summary

This is an extremely exciting and varied role as a key administrator within our Pre-Operative Assessment Unit. The position involves managing the flow of patients through correct booking procedures and providing support to our anaesthetic and nursing staff, allowing them to provide quality care to patients prior to their surgery.

Main duties of the job

• To act as a co-ordinator and provide administrative support to the pre-op team to support the pre-op pathways.
• The post holder will work closely with the multi-disciplinary teams (including nursing and anaesthetic teams) to ensure pathways for pre-op assessments are effective, timely and in line with agreed targets.
• To assist in the site-specific data collection processes, pre-op assessment pathway waiting times and national pre-op data sets and input on various information systems.
