Mechanical Inspector

I am seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join my renowned aviation industry client based in West London, close to Heathrow Airport.You will be responsible for the detailed inspection of aircraft components.

Main Inspector responsibilities :

Undertake and complete a detailed inspection of all components (with exception of components which require a quarantine process due to incident / accident.) using latest criteria and Inspection equipment.Creation and modification of component overhaul / Repair routes within SAP as required.Ensuring that all information (I.E. P / N, S / N and Condition) is recorded in the shop Repair Order and on SAP.Carry out accurate measurement of components where required due to workload.Work to Production priority lists.Actively participate in department daily dialog meetingsTo promote and monitor compliance with legislation, company policy and codes of practise relating to Health and Safety at work.An awareness of the Major Accident Prevention plan (MAPP).Ideal candidate profile :

Aerospace apprenticeship would be desirable.Qualification in an engineering subject would be desirableExperience within an Aerospace Engineering or equivalent environment.Previous mechanical component inspection background.Previous experience working within an SAP computer system would advantageous.Good knowledge of inspection techniques and equipmentPrevious practical experience using imperial measurement tools such as Micrometres, callipers and precision measuring tools.Previous knowledge of manuals and Boeing websitesGood communication skillsExcellent attitude to workshop housekeeping.Able to work to tight deadlinesFlexible approach to workExcellent team playerRight to live and work in the UK without restrictionsAdditional information :
