Are you a passionate and inspiring art educator with a fire for igniting creativity in students? Do you dream of nurturing artistic expression and fostering a love for the visual arts in young minds? A Havering School seeks a talented and dedicated Art Teacher to join our vibrant team on a full-time, permanent basis .

In this rewarding role, you'll be a champion for artistic exploration in Havering :

  • Empower Aspiring Artists : Design engaging and innovative lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and artistic abilities. Utilize a variety of media and techniques to spark students' imaginations and guide them in developing their artistic skills.
  • Inspire Artistic Confidence : Cultivate a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel empowered to experiment, take risks, and express themselves freely through art.
  • Navigate the KS5 Curriculum with Expertise : Deliver the KS5 art curriculum effectively, ensuring students master essential artistic techniques, develop critical thinking skills, and gain a strong understanding of art history and theory. Prepare them for success in exams and beyond.
  • Ignite a Lifelong Passion for Art : Foster a love of art appreciation and a desire for lifelong creative exploration. Motivate students to see the power of art in communication, self-expression, and understanding the world around them.
  • Collaborate for Success : Work closely with colleagues in the Art department and school leadership to create a stimulating and enriching learning environment for all students in Havering.

We're searching for a Havering art leader with these qualities :

  • A strong understanding of art theory, history, and various artistic techniques (2D and 3D).
  • A relevant teaching qualification (QTS desirable).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • A passion for engaging students and making art exciting and accessible, particularly within the diverse Havering community.
  • The ability to motivate and challenge students of all abilities and artistic backgrounds.
