Job Description

Joining as a Personal Tax Senior based from the firms Stratford-upon-Avon offices you will focus on delivering personal tax compliance, whilst as you develop within the firm and role there will be increasing client contact and scope for involvement in delivering wider tax planning services. You will build relationships with clients and look to provide a quality compliance service, working with the wider management and director team. The role and firm provides an excellent opportunity for you to develop your personal tax career.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage a portfolio of over 150 clients, ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance
  • Prepare and review Capital Gains Tax (CGT) returns
  • Handle tax matters for non-resident clients
  • Provide high-quality advisory services alongside compliance work
  • Principal point of contact for clients, working closely with them to understand developments in their personal tax affairs, ensuring they are up to date with their compliance obligations and legislative changes, helping them assess the impact for them and keeping abreast of new opportunities
  • Manage a variety of compliance matters
  • Ensure clients are up to date with their compliance obligations and legislative changes, helping them assess the impact for them and keeping abreast of new opportunities
  • Review tax returns and computations
  • Ensure efficient and risk-managed delivery
  • Responsible for complying with all internal risk management procedure
  • Qualifications :

  • 3-5 years of experience in tax
  • Familiarity with CCH software (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience with CGT returns and non-resident clients
  • Working towards ATT qualification, if not already qualified
  • Personal Attributes :

  • Positive work ethic and a proactive approach
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on client satisfaction
  • Must have access to own car due to the location
