SENDCo and KS1 Class Teacher

Location :  Swaffham, Norfolk, PE37 7HL

Contract Type :  Permanent, Full-Time

Salary :  MPS / UPS plus additional SENDCo allowance

Closing Date :  Midnight, 4th December 2024

Start Date :  April 2025

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic SENDCo and KS1 Class Teacher to join a friendly and hard-working school team. This dual-role position offers the chance to lead SEND provision across the school while teaching a mixed Year 1 / 2 class.

Key Responsibilities

As SENDCo, you will :

  • Lead the strategic development of SEND provision across the school, ensuring outstanding support for pupils with special educational needs.
  • Work collaboratively with school leaders to monitor, evaluate, and enhance SEND policies and practices.
  • Ensure all SEND pupils achieve their academic and personal potential, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Hold the National Award for SEN Co-ordination or be willing to work towards it.

As KS1 Class Teacher, you will :

  • Teach a mixed Year 1 / 2 class with creativity, energy, and passion, providing an invigorating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that challenge, motivate, and inspire children to achieve their best.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom practice with high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.

  • Be experienced in teaching children in KS1 and have a proven track record of excellence in classroom practice.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
