Job summary

MMWF is a growingPCN (Primary Care Network) which has 4 GP surgeries. All the surgeries arewithin the Northampton town. We have a diverse population and having someonewho can speak multiple languages will be helpful but not essential.

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities :

  • Diagnose and treat diseases, deformities, and injuries of the foot and ankle.
  • Perform minor surgeries on the foot and ankle.
  • Provide preventative care for feet and ankles.
  • Prescribe medications to treat conditions of the foot and ankle.
  • Provide patient education on proper foot care.
  • Refer patients to other healthcare professionals as needed.

Newly formed PCN, now seeking a part-time Podiatrist to join the team.

We are seeking aqualified and experienced Podiatrist to join our team. The successful candidatewill be responsible for providing comprehensive foot care services to ourpatients, including diagnosing and treating foot and ankle conditions, performingminor surgical procedures, and providing education and advice on foot health.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a commitment topatient care, and the ability to work independently.

    Qualifications

  • Essential
  • Degree in Podiatry from a recognized institution.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Podiatrist.
  • Membership of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists (or eligibility to become a member).
  • Proven experience in conducting diabetic foot checks and managing foot-related complications.
  • Familiarity with the latest guidelines and best practices in podiatry, particularly in diabetic foot care.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to establish rapport with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate medical records and using electronic health record systems.
