We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Brighton. The successful candidate will provide essential support to students with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Role Overview :

A Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the educational and social development of students with special needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to provide support to children with additional needs. You will play a key role in helping students with their work and supporting them in their day-to-day activities within the school. Whether working 1 : 1 with individual students or guiding small groups, you will assist them in completing assigned tasks and activities. This position as a SEN Teaching Assistant is a fantastic opportunity make a difference to young people with additional needs, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential academically and emotionally.

We are looking for candidates who have :

• Previous experience working with children with additional needs or a strong desire to work with such children.
• The ability to follow EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) or other educational plans designed to carer to individual learning needs.
• A genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs.
• The ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, foster the growth and development of every child.
• Patience, empathy and understanding to support student's diverse learning requirements.
• A proactive and flexible approach, capable of adapting to various situation and challenges that may arise.
• A current DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
• The ability to provide two professional references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
