You will engage in a dynamic mix of consulting and surgical duties within a thriving first opinion practice, complemented by both visiting specialists and in-house expertise.
The ideal candidate should possess substantial experience and be comfortable with sole charge responsibilities when necessary. We seek a friendly, adaptable team player with exceptional communication and customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and attention to detail. The ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, coupled with compassion towards animals and their owners, is essential. A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle are required, as branch coverage across East Lothian may be necessary at any time.

The full-time permanent role operates on a 5-day week with flexible shift patterns starting between 8am and 11 : 30am (8.5 hour days), however we are open to part time applicants. We are committed to providing 24-hour care to ensure our patients receive outstanding attention at any time, offering our staff valuable exposure to emergency and critical care. We highly value out-of-hours (OOH) contributions and generously compensate with ample time off. Currently, the rota includes 1 in 8 weekends, evenings, and night shifts, primarily based at our Haddington surgery with occasional branch cover across our 5 locations.
