Job description

Are you looking for a career in transport with training available to obtain your HGV Licence then this is the job for you.

We are recruiting for a Drivers Mate / Porter to support our client, a well-known removals company based in Bothwell, to work with a team delivering furniture. This position is commutable from most places, due to motorway links.

They’re hoping for a Drivers Mate / Porter to start with them immediately, so if you’re looking for something new, this might be perfect timing for you!

Role details :

  • Monday to Sunday, 5 shifts over 7 days
  • Dayshift, 8am to 4.30pm, guaranteed 40hours per week
  • Temporary to permanent for the right candidate.
  • Duties will be working in a team of 3 porters and 1 driver delivering furniture all over the UK

To be considered, you’ll be an experienced Drivers Mate / Porter, and have :

  • Valid Category B driving licence as you may be required to drive a van at times and will be trained up to HGV for the right candidates.
  • Removal experience is preffered but not essential
  • 6 points or less on your licence
  • Physically fit due to heavy lifting
  • Immediate start availability
  • Own transport would be preferred due to local and early start times

    • In return :

  • 11.44 per hour (PAYE)
  • Weekly pay
  • 28 days paid holiday pro-rata on PAYE
  • Regular, on-going work offered leading to permanent for the right candidate
  • HGV Training for the right candidates
  • Eligible for our Recommend a Friend scheme, guaranteed 8hr shifts
